2019 Four Foundations of Mindfulness, Yin Yoga and Meditation Workshops

I am delighted and honoured to invite you to my new series of insightful workshops, The Four Foundations of Mindfulness, Yin and Meditation Workshops. The Four Foundations of Mindfulness originate from the teachings of Buddha and were first introduced to me by my inspiring and beautiful teacher, Sarah Powers.  These teachings offered me a new way to BE PRESENT and to live my life with greater purpose and meaning.  I was  inspired to continue my own personal studies to deepen my understanding of myself and my life.  I have integrated and embodied these teachings into both my yoga and meditation practices and they have naturally rippled out throughout my entire life.
 
These mindfulness teachings will help you develop a new sense of awareness of your emotions, thoughts, sensations and mental actions. These teachings will offer you the ability to notice what is happening inside yourself and outside yourself.  Through this journey, you might be gently nudged towards developing a regular meditation practice.  If you are already meditating regularly, it might assist you with deepening your current practice.
 
We will start each workshop by arriving in a meditation seat, then transition into a specific series of yin postures. Then towards the end of each workshop, a silent meditation ending in a blissful savasana. Each workshop will be supported and assisted by the amazing and gifted, Jody Carmichael too!

Sunday March 3           Mindfulness of Mind 

Sunday April 14            Mindfulness of Dhamma – Nature of All Things
